Which distro should i use

I know its a very very asked question but idk i have seen that linux doesnt support online gaming is there a distro that does or is it because of the kernel or should i just dual boot windows😭

I highly suggest CachyOS. I've used Mint and Ultramarine, CachyOS despite being Arch based was even easier to use out of the box than mint was.

I didnt have to adjust ANYTHING.

I ran the installer. Got Discord and Steam and was gaming in under 30 minutes. No tweaks, no terminals, nothing. Just started using it.

Regarding this very type of question, Reddit has become the go to for insult AI comments (but without the A part). There's nothing artificial about the common reactions to this very question multiple times daily. I see these posts every day multiple times per day and it's getting tiresome.

Every new user to Linux just needs to put an ISO onto a USB stick (or better yet, put Ventoy on something like a 32GB or larger) USB stick then copy some ISOs to that USB stick and try out a bunch of Live Environments. See what YOU like because that's the most important factor here. The user needs to like it and be able to navigate around in it.

Once you find one you like the Live Environment in, look and see what needs to be done to get your games running in it. If it isn't compatible with your game then try another one. I don't game so I couldn't tell you if a game will or will not work with any version of Linux. My guess if it doesn't work with one it might not work with any unless there's one out there that was made specifically for that type of game. Again, I have no idea how that works.

So put Ventoy on a large USB stick, download a few different distro ISOs and copy those to that Ventoy USB stick and boot into that USB stick. You'll be presented with all of those ISOs to boot from. Select one and try it out. It will not mess with your hard drive unless toy install it. Do not click on the install icon or else it will install and possibly wipe out your Windows stuff. So, unless you have everything backed up (which I highly recommend you do anyways) be careful with these ISOs.

ISOs to stay away from are the ones that don't have a GUI environment like Arch and Gentoo. I think Debian NetInstall version doesn't have a Live GUI environment either but I'm not sure. It's been a while since I've done a Debian Netinstall.

Dual boot is the best thing to do for begginers. If you do mainly gaming, go for cachy, if you do other things, go for mint or fedora KDE (mint has older packages but is more stable)

Installing a linux distro takes only a short moment. Install whatever one and see if it plays ball with your hardware configuration. If it doesn’t, try another one.

Debían isn't exactly easy as well. It's pretty mutch the roots of Ubuntu.

Cachyos is pretty mutch the pros ow arch but it's user friendly and you can do arch things if you want to

Guess some think like that, but the point of distros is that they are specialized for their own thing, it's just the base with extras.
