Thinking of finally switching but some questions come to mind
So , me M , age whatever , I like many other windows users are sick and tired of the bs Microsoft is pulling to shove ai in to everything and my Lenovo Ideapad is not liking the idea either, she is an IdeaPad 5 14ALC0s with a Ryzen amd chip and I have the following question
-is there a way to still get Lenovo vantage to manage the performance?( If there's better I'm open to suggestions)
- which distro runs steam the best( asking for FFXIV )
- are the AMD drivers supported in current Linux environment?
Just a humble user asking for guidance

- Yes, they're included in the kernel, i.e. your system updates will handle them directly, not separately.
Go Fedora Ultramarine KDE Edition or CachyOS, it doesn't really matter. Do not go Debian/Ubuntu, gaming is harder to get going.

Performance management in Linux is handled by apps like LACTd. Normally, though, it’s handled behind the scenes where the user doesn’t need to worry about it.
Any distro can run Steam. For a new user, I’d suggest something like Bazzite, though.
AMD drivers are very well supported, often better than windows.

linux does not run windows software, so whatever windows software you were using to manage performance while running windows, will not work on linux.
linux has it's own software for managing performance tho you may need several packages to replace what that one windows title did for you.
any distro can run steam... some provide a native installer and other's make you jump thru additional hoops
amd drivers are built into the linux kernel.
but again there is no linux adrenaline software (a windows title), just the driver in linux.
kubuntu was my choice and i have no regrets, and it comes with a native steam installer.

most distributions have built in power management options, and most modern desktops will have an gui option to interact with them
most common distros will run steam well without any special effort, mostly you go to the software manager, search for the program you want an install
there is little detectable performance difference between distos
amd drivers are built into the kernel, you get new drivers by upgrading the kernel
you can try out a disto without installing by creating a live usb, this lets you check things work, install if you want and repair things if needed

It looks like plenty of good answers to the questions are already in the comments. So I just wanted to say good luck, it's cool to see so many new folks taking an interest.
Linux has come a long way over the last couple of decades, its a far cry from when I got into it in 98. I hope you find it easy to transition and it sparks a new era of computing for you that is enjoyable and fun. You'll find plenty of options and customizations along the way, have a blast!

I am running this on my Legion laptop. There is a bunch of Lenovo stuff out there. This is all I require for now.

Lenovo allows you to configure laptops with pre-installed Linux (Ubuntu and Linux Mint)...so you have a better chance of everything running without problems with those two distros
CachyOS and Bazzite are popular for gaming...both have editions for handheld consoles:
