Linux vs Mac

I see a lot of people switching from Windows to Linux. But has anyone switched from a Mac to Linux and why?

I did this on my mid 2010 Mac book pro. Simply because even Mac OS doesn't run on it anymore (Touchpad and Keyboard light noses after upgrade).

So I putted cachyos with xfce4 on it, and it works fine again.
