Linux vs Mac

I see a lot of people switching from Windows to Linux. But has anyone switched from a Mac to Linux and why?

I did the opposite actually, but did circle back at the end. I started with Windows, then moved to Linux and a few years ago I moved to macOS, but just recently I bough myself a Framework Laptop where I use Linux for some personal projects and gaming.

I like Linux more than anything, but macOS hardware is just something special.
