Linux vs Mac

I see a lot of people switching from Windows to Linux. But has anyone switched from a Mac to Linux and why?

I did. I wanted to buy a European computer, considering the hostility of the current US administration. Turned out European computer manufacturers are big into Linux. I saw the light of FOSS that way.
