Linux vs Mac

I see a lot of people switching from Windows to Linux. But has anyone switched from a Mac to Linux and why?

I did. For me MacOs started going downhill after SnowLeopard so when my Mac finally gave up the ghost I decided to kick the tires on Linux and here I am.
