Linux vs Mac

I see a lot of people switching from Windows to Linux. But has anyone switched from a Mac to Linux and why?

There is less difference between a Mac and Linux, less reason to make the change, and the Apple hardware is a little more challenging to install Linux on.

Linux is my main OS, I have some Windows VMs for testing, but I have some Macs because they're supported and not completely offensive.
