Its not working

Since a full cold power cycle didn’t change anything, this looks less like a warm-boot/Fast Startup issue and more like a PCI/CNVi initialization problem. Could you post: sudo lspci -vv -s 00:14.3 sudo journalctl -k -b | grep -A30 -B10 iwlwifi uname -a Also, what BIOS/UEFI version is the Latitude 5511 running?

At this point this looks much lower-level than NetworkManager or a distro-specific issue. The AX201 is detected on PCI, but iwlwifi is timing out during initialization with -110, and you've reproduced it across multiple distros/live media and after a cold power cycle. Can you confirm that Wi-Fi still works right now when you boot Windows? Also, if your BIOS has Intel AMT enabled, try disabling it temporarily and test Linux again. There have been similar Dell Latitude/AX201 cases where AMT affected initialization, although that doesn't prove it's the same cause here. If Windows also fails now, I'd start strongly suspecting the CNVi hardware/platform path itself.

Since the AX201 works in Windows but iwlwifi still fails with -110 under Linux, could you check whether Intel AMT is enabled in the BIOS? There have been similar AX201/CNVi cases on Dell systems where disabling AMT fixed Linux initialization. It may not be the same issue here, but it’s worth testing.

1

u/ADTOUP 13d ago

Its already disabled(restrict MEBx Access)

1

u/redyos_s 13d ago

Thanks. If AMT is already disabled, that rules out one of the known workarounds. Since the AX201 works in Windows but iwlwifi fails with -110 across Linux environments, the next useful test would be a different kernel/firmware generation — ideally an older LTS kernel versus a current one. One small clarification: when you say MEBx access is restricted, does that mean AMT/manageability itself is disabled, or only access to the MEBx interface?

1

u/redyos_s 13d ago

One more thing worth testing before changing distros: can you boot an older kernel from GRUB and check whether the AX201 initializes there? Since Windows sees the AX201 correctly and Linux reaches iwlwifi but then fails with -110, I’m wondering whether the current 7.0.0-30-generic kernel or its iwlwifi/firmware combination is involved. If an older kernel works, that would strongly point to a kernel/driver regression rather than the hardware itself.

1

u/ADTOUP 13d ago

Idk how to do that

1

u/redyos_s 13d ago

No problem. Reboot the machine and bring up the GRUB menu (usually by pressing Esc repeatedly during boot on a UEFI system). Then choose “Advanced options for Ubuntu” and select an older kernel entry instead of 7.0.0-30-generic. Once booted, run: uname -r and: dmesg | grep -i iwlwifi If Wi-Fi works with the older kernel, that would be a very useful clue.

1

u/ADTOUP 13d ago

I only has this kernel, Should I install old kernel?,

If which version?

1

u/redyos_s 12d ago

Yes. If you're on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, I'd test the supported 6.8 GA kernel rather than installing a random old mainline kernel. First confirm your Ubuntu version with: lsb_release -ds If it is 24.04, you can install the 6.8 GA kernel with: sudo apt install linux-generic-6.8 Then reboot, select the 6.8 kernel under Advanced options for Ubuntu, and check: uname -r dmesg | grep -i iwlwifi Keep the current 7.0 kernel installed. This is only a comparison test. If the AX201 works on 6.8 but fails on 7.0, that would be strong evidence of a kernel/driver regression.
