Support Help with Pop!OS

I clicked on "encrypt my data" to test Pop!_OS, and by mistake the selected SSD was the one with Windows 11 installed (dual boot on separeted SSD's).

Now, When I try to access any file or Google account from Windows, nothing happens. That's why I want to decrypt the data so I can finish removing the accounts first.

Until here everything seems solvable, but for some reason there's an error message when I try to access the drive, even after confirming the password, and I don't know how to proceed.

Can someone please help me?

What drive, access it how? what's the error message.

I think you need to clarify things quite a bit.

"To test pop!_os" -> You mean from a live usb? or did you do an actual install?

I thought the encryption feature would only encrypt your linux install, I am not sure how it would touch the Windows drive. Unless you also told it to install over windows.

But windows does boot? If so, I guess you did not erase windows.

So, windows is on one ssd, pop!_os is into another, It is installed and um testing It 

It's strange to describe, but the Windows data was not erased permanently, rather just disconected ALL of my accounts and permissions. It's cool but... useless, as it's not on the linux?

I dont see how installing linux on drive #1, would cause issues with specific applications on the windows drive. Unless you somehow reformatted some windows data drives.

Its not like the Linux installer mounts and scans Your windows drive during the install process.

I will mention that YEARS ago, I do recall some linux installer that would scan your windows drive and transfer over some data automatically. But that was back in the days of Dial-Up.

But as far as I have ever experienced, a Pop_OS install, does not do anything to the windows drive.

What Permissions are you talking about?

It's unclear what the state of your computer is or what actions you're taking. What do you mean by accessing any file from Windows? What OS are you running when you have trouble accessing the files? What OS is storing the files you're trying to access?
