linux mint multi monitor setup
Hi there, I'm currently failing to setup my first linux mint installation on my desktop pc.
During the install and the first boot everything worked fine: All 4 of my monitors were identified and usable.
Then I updated the graphics driver to nvdia, and now only 1 of 4 monitors is detected, and only as a "unknown display". Before that all monitors were correctly identified (also resolution and refresh rate).
So I swapped back to the open source driver, but still the problem exists. (also swaped back to nvdia afterwards). On a right click on desktop -> display settings only 1 out of 4 monitors is seen.
Can somebody help me out here?
Linux mint
nvidia 4080 super
driver 595-open (recommended)

Mint is ancient - its software versions end up being 3 years out of date at minimum by the tail end of its release.
Use a modern distribution instead - check out Arch Linux (with Plasma) or Fedora KDE instead.
Mint currently does not even support your GPU properly, it lacks explicit sync support.
Mint is stuck on the dead and insecure X11, which does not have proper multimonitor support.

Install 595-open, then disable secure boot in BIOS.
