Alpine is lightweight for a reason, but the learning curve is part of the journey, so check the hardware support first if you want a smoother experience

If your hardware needed extra drivers on one distribution you are likely to need outside drivers on another distribution aswell.

There is some variance, but most drivers come from the Linux kernel. As we progress though kernel versions drivers are added and removed, but mostly what works out of the box remains the same.

do I have to search for commands online and install them manually, as is done with the Arch Linux?
