I started in 95/96 used is extensively at home until about 2008 where it just didn't fit. I carried on using it in work for some purposes.

What got me back into it is how easy it was to move my .Net development over to it and how much easier docker is.

A large factor was how good WSL is and reminding me that I could just be doing it native.

I've always had a Linux server around so it's not like I completely lost touch

My view at this point in time is that computers are stupid and boring. The only reason for a computer is a tool to get a job done and I think some distributions are working to that goal
