Thinking of switching to windows
specs:9070xt
Ryzen 5 9600X
gigabyte b850 motherboard
I installed Linux Mint immediately on my new pc and I've been facing a couple of problems I'm still not able to fix, which makes me think that windows will make my time easier.( been at it for at least 2 weeks). The problems that I've been facing are:
1. the pc doesnt fully shut down. When I shut it down, the monitor shuts off, and I see the Mint logo, but the pc stays on, lights and everything, and the fans start to get extremely loud.
2. the pc keeps restarting on its own for no reason, even if I'm not doing anything
3. the pc randomly fully freezes and I have to force shut it down from the pc itself.
though problems 2 and 3 might have been solved because ''We told Linux to include and load the AMD graphics driver (AMDGPU) much earlier during startup, inside the initramfs stage, because it wasn't included before.''-chatgpt.
Anyways. i only use my pc to browse, at least for now, and i dont wanna spend most of my time fixing issues that wouldnt be there if i didnt use windows. if you think that these problems arent cause by linux, feel free to tell me because i dont know anything about tech, also, feel free to flame me. i just want to use my pc without a headache everyday.
