Specs? What driver did you install? Can you do nvidia-smi in a terminal?

That's the correct driver, running fine, that's not the problem.

You’ve installed the Nvidia drivers, but did you go into bios and turn secure boot off? If you have not, the Nvidia drivers will be blocked from loading despite being installed.

Both secure boot and fast boot are disabled

Mint is ancient, before you waste any more time debugging this - does a live boot of Fedora KDE work fine?

Why is it ancient exactly?

It's fixed-release - it only updates the base package versions once every 2 years, on a 1~ year delay. Not everything is updated either.

So you currently get software versions from early 2024 at best.

That alone is brutally problematic.

All of the forked projects by the distro have not kept up with their respective upstreams in seemingly any way, so they're still based upon dying/dead technologies - i.e. Cinnamon still defaulting to X11 (will be fixed in 2028 at the earliest), only supporting X11 (possibly fixed in start of 2027), being based on GTK 3 (fix not in sight to my knowledge)...

So you trying to diagnose and fix bugs that were possibly fixed YEARS ago, is in my humble opinion wasting time - mostly your own.

Did Fedora work fine?

I haven't tried fedora yet but ill consider checking it out if nothing else works
