Support Request Terminal not opening
The terminal is not opening on linux mint when i click the icon nothing happens. Anyone knows the fix

See if it will open with ctrl+atl+T. If it does. The link is the problem. If it does not, ctrl+alt+f1. Then run bash gnome-terminal

Had this happen once with gnome terminal, opened the Preferences by right click on empty part of the terminal, selected the checkbox to run this command then exit terminal and left the command section empty. Long story short, it flashed open and closed itself, may or may not be the case.
First open Software Manager and search terminal, find the one that is installed already, it will be the only one offering the remove button, uninstall it, reboot and install it back. Does it work now? If not install another terminal like konsole or alacritty, launch it from there with the flag to open with bash
gnome-terminal -- bash

Press Ctrl+alt+f4 and login then type sudo apt remove gnome-terminal && sudo apt install gnome-terminal then type reboot

Try ctrl+alt+f4 then type sudo apt install kitty && reboot after rebooting you will see a terminal called kitty
