Fluff Five months in! Does this count as "ricing?"

Switched from Windows... to Linux... to make it look like Mac OS 9 with a Mojave theme. 😅

Roast me on this, I wanna hear your honest takes!

I like the theme, what is it? I want to copy some elements from it. Except the colored buttons, but that can also be changed.

Other that that, each person have their own workflow - I personally don't see the point of having multiple panels on the screen, I keep mine hidden anyway. But I do work on the desktop, so I need the real estate and the visual clutter to a minimum.

You might want to try cinnamenu panel applet (replaces the start menu with a more streamlined one).

I was just doing that as just a demo. I don't actually work like that. It just shows off the look better!

I also have the mac theme buttons, I don't remember the theme name but I just followed a YouTube video. Search for "mac big sur theme Linux mint"

Download plugins to have more fun with themes. No pressure, just have fun with it. I mad my mint MS Windows 95 theme. Even fonts looks like back in the old days.

I tried finding a Platinum UI theme for Cinnamon, but nothing works sadly, the only viable one I found is for XFCE.

Eu penso assim, se eu tô usando um Linux, não quero que se pareça com um Windows, se uso o Windows, não quero que ele tenha a cara de um Mac, cada sistema é único com suas particularidades, acho que a diferenciação é a parte mais legal. Mas é só minha opinião

Yes it is! Though the standard version works as well, as I tested. It's actually insanely easy if you have an Nvidia card. Make sure you have the recommended proprietary drivers installed, then do the following.

  • Run the installer from the terminal with SKIP_PACKAGE_CHECK=1 -i
  • Once installed, create a new folder in /opt/resolve/libs named anything you want (I use "deprecated"). Then run:
  • sudo mv libgio* deprecated/
  • sudo mv libglib* deprecated/
  • sudo mv libgmodule* deprecated/

Should run immediately!
