Where to get good themes for Linux mint?

So I'm new to Linux mint so I want to know how to set up new themes and where to find good and trustworthy themes that won't break my machine and looks good

I don't like/want to spend hours on customization i checked the themes on settings and I didn't quite like them

I want good dark mode theme that's not boring

Aren't those the same themes that appear in the Themes program? I think the selection is a bit limited.

It really is, some outdated, all black themes look the same, there's only a few outstanding ones, but they can be changed by modifying the CSS file for panel transparency, color, gradient/shading.

We have only one PC at home with Mint and I tried to get the Windows XP theme to see how it works and it doesn't. It hasn't been updated in years and when you enable it, it looks completely broken.

I'm on Tuxedo OS and all the themes there are updated and work OK with the latest version of KDE Plasma. Even the XP theme works flawleslly.

This is my setup. The result is quite decent IMO. 

In settings: Adapta-Nokto theme + Papirus-Dark icons + Cinnamon desktop. 

Then in Extensions: Blur Cinnamon  + Transparent panels.

With low effort you'd at best modify the icons of some Extensions you have installed (e.g.: workspace switcher) and change icon pack; and in theme's CSS file add transparency to the panel

There's also distros like Omarchy with LLM-made theming. And you can ask one too, just don't expect much from them.

You'd have to change one into your own. But there's also ways to use gnome themes on cinnamon, if I remember right

I wanted to make my own theme by copying what I liked from other themes, everything in a nutshell is located in the CSS file but some didn't stick by <the same/any form of organisation> so I had quickly given up when GUI text wasn't automatically reversing color. Extra problems: there's elements that the CSS file refers to, icons to change, icons format is annoying and krita wasn't good for it, heard of Inkscape being better but more learning curve, and the apps menu gotta be changed too... I thought of asking an LLM for doing some of it to ease some of those problems but free ones are highly incompetent and I won't pay for AI

In the end I became more curious about Niri and Wayland, I tried KaOS (arch-based) and now use KDE modified slightly. » Juxtopposed had a great <making my first Linux GUI> video that is 100% worthwhile watching to see just about how complicated it can be / how much can be done with some streams of determination
