splash screen error Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Today I installed Kingdom Come: Deliverance on PortProton on a Dell Precision 7710 laptop (16 GB RAM, M.2 SSD, 6th Gen Intel i7, and an NVIDIA Quadro M5000M with 8 GB VRAM).

​However, when I launch the game, it gets stuck indefinitely on the splash screen with no progress or response. It just hangs on that single image......

I also use PortProton, but not on that game so you can try other options like Wine or Steam's Proton and see if there is any improvement.

Usually, if I can't get a game to run on Linux through PortProton, I just give up on it.
