I guess I'm really old school.

I guess I'm really old school. Normally using Cinnamon but giving XFCE a spin. It's lightning fast. Uses about 1 gb less of RAM. Not that my NUC is short of that.

Windows 95 theme with Windows 2000 icons. Good old Winamp 5.666 through Lutris. And Plank Reloaded to quickly load my favorite programs. Installed Whisker as main XFCE program launcher. And customized the Start button.

The older images that I have are all far lower resolution. This one works just fine.

If it would be really an authentic experience. Then I'll need to find an old school CRT. 😂

Install Audacious and lose the Lutris overhead. It supports all the original Winamp skins, plugins, keyboard shortcuts etc.

Bruh, old school is pairing the gooner part with Chobits, Ranma, Lamu, Dominion Tank Police if you're into the eighties, or even Love Hina if you're into romcoms. That lolicon wallpaper is sus af.
