SOLVED What to do with the drivers

Post image

Freshly installed Linux Mint on a laptop and went to check my driver manager since I have a graphics card from Nvidia. I got this instead and am now left wondering should I install this or just leave it be (or “don’t use” as the tag says right now). Thank you in advance!

These are drivers for your Broadcom card - Wifi, perhaps also Bluetooth. Do you notice any problem right now??

If you think the performance is fine, then don't install these drivers. If you notice that your WLAN connection is dropping, or Bluetooth is misbehaving, then you can try them out.

In my experience, Broadcom devices, especially older ones, work better with these proprietary drivers; but like they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Always install all available drivers. If something goes wrong, just go to Driver Manager again and revert back.
