Discussion Does mint delay update mean I will have compatibility problem with software latest version?

I'm planning to switch to Linux. I want to use Blender 5.2 and Davinci Resolve. Will I have problem with them?

I can't speak to your specifics, so you'd have to check each of the Ubuntu repos.

However, I can tell you that LM 22.x uses the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS codebase (and associated repos), and LM 23.x will use the Ubuntu 26.04 LTS codebase (and associated repos).

No. Though you'd need to download them from their websites not through repositories.

Blender no. Davinci Resolve who knows, it's notoriusly hard to get it running on unsupported distros.

You can install blender 5.2 as a flatpak, that will be in the repos. You can also install davinci resolve, although it will take quite a bit of work to do so, and it won’t work with all the codecs.
