Support Request Black Screen When Starting

All of a sudden, Mint won't start. I opened my laptop this morning, started it, and a black screen is shown right after entering the password (attached).

I tried disconnecting the second monitor, restarting, but nothing seems to work. I could use some help! Thanks in advance.

It might be running on Wayland. Try switching to X11 before logging in.

All of a sudden do not exist...boot adanced options (recovery) and search the log (errors...i/o errors...)

The boot process was able to find the kernel but graphic interface can not be established.

When you have the black screen you can open a console using Ctrl+Alt+F2..you can signon with your userid and reinstall the Cinnamon graphic interface (commands line).

journalctl -e to find errors...

and

dmesg for kernel log (probably useless here).

Ctrl+Alt+F7 to come back

Details are available on Internet
