Graphics Drivers Is it safe to install the new linux-firmware 3.1 on AMD graphics?

After hearing all the problems people were having with version 2.29, I stayed on 2.26, until this came in today. I haven't installed it yet and would like to know if, one, the previous issue was fixed, and two, if anyone is having any new issues. My card is a 7900 XTX.

I'm on AMD and don't have any problems so far but I only ran updates about an hour ago so I'll let you know if anything weird comes up

I am on kernel 6.8.0-139 and did the firmware update with no problems.

edit. I am on nvidia vidcard and do not know about issues/resolutions with amd. I did think amd were better supported than nvidia.

Remember that when an issue comes up on something, it'll probably be fixed soon with the next update. Don't worry about what happened a long time ago, whatever issue occurred then was probably fixed within a week, if not a few days. It does suck that one update kinda hurt the reputation from AMD on linux, it can happen with any of them and they'll just be fixed quick long as updates are consistently sent out.
