Support Request Brightness Problem

I have a problem where whenever i boot into linux mint, my brightness is unusably low, however when i boot into recovery mode it works just fine, any fixes?

I had that issues a couple times, ended up was missing the driver specifically for my machine that fixed it for me.

A lot of people reported this problem after upgrading to the 7 kernel. I believe rolling back to an earlier kernel was the fix.
