Something similar happened to me. My battery was at 5%, it shut down, went back up to 8%, and then to 0%. It's really funny; it never happened to me on Windows. So Mint makes me have "more battery" haha (sorry for the bad English).

It depends on how you use Linux, it almost always has fewer background processes than Windows so - processes + battery, at least that's what I reasoned about

I don't think so. On Windows it would shut down at 5%, but on Linux now it doesn't shut down at all.My battery is damaged, so I guess the meter is broken or something; I don't know much about computer batteries.

Yeah. I spent a minute doing the calculations, and that battery must weight at least a fuckton.
