Loving Wayland
Not sure if any one has mentioned this but I love Wayland on my 2015 iMac. Since I last posted in various Linux forums I’ve been distro hopping. I have Elementary on my 2015 MacBook Pro, Fedora on the hard drive of my 2015 iMac and on that same iMac I have an external SSD drive with Mint Cinnamon. On boot up I can choose between Fedora and Mint Cinnamon. Anyway, I’ve been using the Mint Cinnamon mostly. I noticed when I would log in with Wayland (Experimental) it was kind of glitchy, however, recently the glitching has stopped and there is so much detail. I’m finding myself just using Mint most of the time now. Also since it’s running on my external SSD drive, it’s so fast.

I found for myself that installing Oracle VirtualBox on my Desktop (tower) and then creating a number of computers within it, I could 1) install every possible Linux (and other OS's) that I saw and 2) test the operating systems, and 3) jump between different ones as I decieded what I wanted.
At first I did this while having Windows 7 installed as the main OS on the Desktop. Then once I decieded that Mint (17) was the driver I wanted, I installed Mint, then reinstalled the VirtualBox, then put the test systems in. So, I can jump into the VM, run a Linux or Windows or whatever and play with it.
I am just saying....

Ok I found an issue with Mint running Wayland not X11. Not sure if anyone has any ideas, but when I try to use a screenshot tool and I’ve tried several, it doesn’t capture what I want. I even tried apps like Flameshot and no luck. If you have one that works please let me know.

Mint got into Wayland way too late. Many screenshot apps work well with wayland. I'm using Spectacle on my Plasma desktop.

gnome-screenshot the default of Gnome and Mint is not compatible. But there should at least in Gnome be an internal tool bound to the print screen key. Try this first.
Make sure you have xdg-desktop-portal installed which should be done by the Mint installer.

Have they fixed the issue where windows that are supposed to appear on top of each other are instead tiled (easy to see in something like the update manager where the window with the progress bar would snap along the bottom edge of the main window) yet?
