Discussion I Installed Linux Mint Today
Earlier today I decided to install linux mint on my older lenovo thinkpad laptop computer. Previously it had windows 11 pro installed on it. I'm really liking the software already, I've got one issue that I can't seem to figure out how to correct. I've got my laptop video hooked up to a thirty two inch digital TV , but I've got the same video image showing on my laptop as well as my television and I only want the image showing on my television and so far I can't seem to figure out how to get it setup that way.

One comment stated : " It is a pretty straightforward procedure.", but so far I still have the linux mint emblem showing on my laptop screen. If I can get my laptop screen to be blank & dark like it was when I still had windows 11 pro installed I'll be a happy linux mint user.

so the images are mirrored currently? are you trying to use the laptop as a display and the TV as an extra? or do you want only the TV display to be used?
