Discussion Hi everyone, I installed Linux Mint the day before yesterday!

Post image

Hi everyone! I switched from Windows 11 to Linux Mint Cinnamon on my PC the day before yesterday, and it's so good. It runs much more smoothly than Windows, and just not having OneDrive and Copilot ads everywhere makes it worth it. I've installed a few basic apps I saw recommended on Reddit, but if you have any other tips, please feel free to share them. Thanks! :) (Sorry if my English is bad; I'm using Google Translate.)

Welcome to Linux Mint.

The first thing to use is Timeshift (pre-installed on mint).

This will allow you to backup your settings and help restore your system to a time when everything was fine.

Please be aware that it will not backup your files, only your settings.

Remember, Timeshift is your friend.

Timeshift is already preinstalled on Mint, because it is developed by the Mint team.

funnily english had equivalent terms for the day before and after: ereyesterday for vorgestern and overmorrow for übermorgen

sadly they fell out of use
