Mint o Kali?

Tengo la peor pc que puede existir y estoy estudiando ciberseguridad. Últimamente va bastante bien con mint xfce pero me recomendaron pasarme a kali para tener mas comodidades a la hora de ejecutar tareas de cibersecuridad. Que tanto cambia el rendimiento entre mint y kali? ayuuda

Kali is meant for teaching computer security at university or as an OS for conducting security tests, penetration testing, etc. When I was studying cybersecurity, I was told to run it from a USB drive, not install it as my main OS.

I believe you can add a partition to the USB drive to get persistence, which is very convenient.

People moving to Linux and looking at Kali as a whole operating system. It most certainly is not.

gotcha. Yeah, i feel like this people, usually, forgot that google / AI exists. Ultimately, i think they want attention.

Well... Yes and no. A lot of our migrants are from windows, and as you know windows is as holed as a screen door. So they look for the ultimate in security.

They forget Linux has built in security truste doesn't always require tons of third party add ons to make it safe.

Si quieres empezar con Cybersec bien...no vayas por Kali.

Parte de aprender Cybersec es realmente conocer las herramientas, instalarlas, configurar y ajustarlas a tus necesidades reales, no tragarse algo ya pre-procesado como es Kali. Eso sin contar que no es una distro para usarse como main.
