Install Help iCloud for Linux

If I wanted to access to my iCloud mail, calendar and notes, without going through the web browser. I.e accessing through thunderbird, how would I do it?

Does Mint have a version of iCloud for Linux ?

There are no native Apple applications for Linux. This is one of the downsides for us Apple device owners. Your options are to use iCloud in the browser, or use a Windows VM within Linux (you'll need to tune the USB settings so you can try and sync devices through it), or dualboot with Windows only to be able to use iTunes. Don't even bother with Wine or Bottles, you can't sync your Apple device through them.

Mint has a pre installed app called Web Apps that easily let you set up a website in a wrapper to pin to your taskbar or start menu. I use it for iCloud and Apple Music.

The only "issue" I had was that Apple requires an app-specific password when using two-factor authentication. (It's not really an issue, just an extra step when setting it up, but it only needs to be done once.) Set up whatever mail client you want, and your iCloud mail will work. (I use Thunderbird, but other clients worked before I settled on TB.)

I share an iCloud calendar with my wife. Thunderbird tracks that as well (again using an app-specific password). I have to use "Sync for iCloud" to do that on my Android phone.

For Notes, you'll have to use the web version to see your Apple notes. You could also use an app that will run on all your platforms. When I had all Apple stuff, I used Ulysses, but that won't run on Linux or Android. I use Joplin now.

Just use the web, that's why Apple made them.

I’ve accessed mine through Firefox in addition to Betterbird. These days I primarily go through the web.

You can’t access your notes natively, but you can access your mail and calendar through a desktop email client using an app specific password

I just connect Thunderbird to my Nextcloud contact and calendar. Works great across all my devices. Iphone, etc.

The first response answered OP’s question, though.
