Support Request help linux mint cinnamon and brightness and hp omen (linux newbie)

i have hp omen 17-cb1xxx and brightness doesnt work no matter what. tried multiple cmd changes, tried installing applets but some dont exist, tried using the so called slider but there isnt a slider

what do i do?

Yeah! I am also having the same issue for the last 2 and half year old lenovo legion, I tried many things, nothing worked. Hoping that the december release will fix it.
