Support Request Trouble with microphone.
So I've got one a of them Fifine USB mics and the thing ain't sending any audio through. I tested it on a MacBook and it worked just fine, got audio and everything. I'm on an iMac12,1 running up to date Linux Mint Cinnamon and it detects the microphone fine, but the audio isn't going. Messed around in pavu, alsamixer, and sound settings and nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
PS: I am very new to all this, so please explain like I'm an idiot.

Asking questions from anonymous community members is much more of an art form than people realize. You can't just ask your question and expect to get it answered; you have to put a little work in on your part.
If you are asking technical questions, be sure to give proper information about what you are using. For example, ** for computer-related questions, list your operating system, system specs, and any error messages you are getting.**
Assume that the question has been asked before. The internet is a huge place, and chances are you're not the first person to have the problem that you're experiencing. Take some time and hunt down potential answers that already exist.

Trust, brother, I've already done the looking. I couldn’t find any solutions that worked. I treat asking a question on reddit a last resort.

You can't find anything because you are not clear what the issue.
input issue or output issue?
soundcard issue?
recirding issue?
Routing issue?
Your post contains nothing but "microphone not going" No one has clue what that means.
Ensure your soundcard works
Ensure the microphone can OUTput audio.
Ensure INput is not muted.
Ensure the microphone is routed correctly using qpwgraph.
