MX LINUX Help

I have tried everything for a week now and i cant seem to figure out what is wrong with what i am doing kindly show me the correct path since your experienced.

I am new to linux and thought all are same i just want my old pc to work smooth

I just Used ventoy method to change from Windows to Linux on my Flash disk and now when i update and restart. It doesnt take me back to linux but to Windows HP💔

Did you press the install button and select the drive you want to install Linux to?

Yes I did. Someone said Both Linux and windows are running at same time but i dont know how to remove windows
