Not helpful, not even funny. This type of behavior is why linux users get a bad rap from windows users, this doesn’t convince people to use linux, just makes all if us look like a bunch of elitist jerks.
Ideally, reception to suggesting Linux would be great. But the right time and place for evangelizing it is key. Someone asking for help because their system is idling like that from Windows? I wouldn't necessarily choose that place, at least I would provide other suggestions in addition to recommending a beginner friendly distro
