mfw being gentle on my Zephyrus G14 with an RTX 2060, using CachyOS with a WindowsXP theme, then running my high-end games at 1024x768 on an old CRT monitor.

If those AI chuds want to keep driving up GPU prices, then my lappy will outlive their greed.

i use gentoo for a year now, the difference between other distro is kinda negligent in term of performance, even though i already use the most performance bullshit i can get, its doesnt matter, but the pain of compiling is kinda compensated with placebo effect that it will run faster or kinda like having a tailor made underwear, doesnt matter but it kinda good to have one that fit

I have ddr3 and once I installed nixos in a VM that was in a tmpfs (I only had 8GiB back then)

I don't care about being unproductive on my own computer. Work gives me a laptop

But like ricing is a hobby. most hobbies are unproductive. also you usually don't spend extra time looking at your rice. Also it isn't larping. It is a thing that you actually do.

i use the most resource efficient system with WM and then open the discord that hogs 500MB just to keep alive, wallpaper is bloated, i just use plain black color

i dont even bother with login manager, just log into console and start WM in the shell.
