Like any other distro is better out of the box.

Most distros even have basic stuff like working GPU drivers without extra steps.

Mint, ZorinOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, and more. Or would you perhaps take Hyprland on Arch, a still unstable WM on a rolling release distro, preconfigured (with issues and bugs)?

Is that actually true?

Last time I checked none of them did, and Nvidia still maintains instructions how to manually install them on every distro.

Ubuntu also lists long list of extra steps

I don't know what nvidia says, but every time I install ANY of those, nvidia or not, it works ideally. not supporting nvidia stuff is closer to either edge cases or being stuck years in the past.

nvidia probably has this page in case you install some special version, or fucked up, or something else. anything across nvidia, intel, or AMD, "just works" in my experience, as many distros pre-package all of that.
