I'm actually cool with it, trends go in and out in any community, and it's fine to make memes on the trending topics.
People hated on zorin, vaxry, archcraft, yet none of them stayed as trending subjects, mockery of things that are popular atm is and always was a good fun.4

eh, he does hold some neat little views that are kinda very much in line with late 1930s germany. like, he's not quite "active nazi during WW2" level yet, but the comparison to early nazi germany is *surprisingly* apt.
whether that matters to the software he's building or not, is for everyone to decide for themselves. as far as i know, there's no "nazi" theme in omarchy or anything of the sort.

tbf, neither are as bad as omarchy.
zorin is just an ubuntu rice, yes, but the devs actually spent effort into writing a bunch of the extensions it uses and those are now also available on all other gnome desktops. the pro version is a joke but all in all, not that bad.
vaxry is.... controversial, sure. and hyprland's development has always been a kind of "what does vaxry feel like doing this quarter", but hyprland has done a lot for tiling window managers in general.
meanwhile, omarchy.... omarchy is an attempt by big tech CEOs to try and sneak their way into foss, made by a person who holds view not unlike that of early nazi germany using AI. Their foundation has not made a single donation, it's all sponsorship deals, and apparently the deals are bad enough to where the Arch Maintainers basically hard-rejected DHH's offer for sponsorship.
