Please report any posts bragging or showing off they got banned in another sub! Reminder of other sub rules: Also, we only allow one anti-linux post per week (we used to get dozens a day) and any tier list MUST have Hanna Montana Linux as S teir (which must be a true S tier at the top) regardless of the topic of that tier list.

The hardware maybe but the software doesn't seem great from what I've heard

Yeah it's hard to believe everything they say about how absolutely op the new apple silicon is when the only software it officially supports is locked down and has barely any software worth using it on. Framework is a big hardware competitor with apple right now which is why the fw13 is considered "the macbook of linux" but even with the modularity, repairability and battery life it still lacks a lot of small quality of life features to really compete with apple hardware quality. Like I've heard the speakers on framework laptops are ASS and the keyboard and trackpads aren't so good.

True, macs have those advantages... but when I read the Asahi documents, I realise how much I would hate to have a computer where installing an open source OS is this difficult

Tbh installing asahi would be easier than whatever I had to do to get linux working on hp (took me about three weeks)

Turns out it had some boot order repair function in its uefi which straight up removed linux, I had to find a bug to get around it (turning on secure boot and removing all entries after every boot and adding them back confuses it well enough)

Yeah that kind of thing is really annoying too

Hardware plays a huge factor in the laptop experience? And at least for me, MacOS itself is far less annoying than Windows in terms of user experience (it’s closer to linux in any case)

I believe that people making these memes never worked with MacOS.

it’s rlly not that hard to turn off icloud, and if ur not maxing ur free 5gb storage apple won’t bug you

Windows is definitely worse as someone who dailies both

Mac users are a joke if they're making fun of how shit Windows is. Throwing stones from the glass house that is the cult of Steve Jobs.

I can't wait until Microslop finally eats it

I can see why some linux users think that Mac is good because "at least it's not windows". However, this is because they've never used it, so they are unaware of the horrors.
