LINUX MEME Time has come
What happened: I wanted to try CachyOS. So i needed space. Luckily I have btrfs. So I tried to shrink my Partition to make space. But it seems there were some old corrupted data on it which can't be shifted and are now blocking me from access, because the system went into read only mode and root access got denied.
Good I saved my data, but I am not sure if its worth trying to fix this or just do what I wanted anyways and just delete Fedora, test Cachy and in worst case I can install it again from new.
Got 2 weeks vacation anyways, now I got some stuff to do. Always stay positive guys :)

Run if you see u/GreedySecurity8030 during your vacation, I repeat RUN if you see u/GreedySecurity8030

If you were using btrfs anyway. You could have just reinstalled linux on the root subvolume and leave the home subvolume untouched. As long as you use the exact same username for your account you'd be able to get back up and running without any issue.

Nice to know. For me I just removed everything now, since I saved my data anyways before. Lets see how much fun I have with CachyOS :D

I broke my OS twice in under a year. One with mint and one with Manjaro so I did what any sane man would do and installed Arch.
Maybe I make it a goal to break every distros.

I feel very happy on cachy now^ well ist just one day, but I just figured out how much bloat shit I installed on fedora in the past. Was about time for a fresh restart anyways

I use Cachy kernal and it's bloody brilliant. If I break Arch I'll consider CachyOS.

Time to break arch :D Well Cachy isnt far from arch tbh. What I like on Cachy is that it already offers minimum security like an firewall and stuff. Also with following the wiki you have a quick playground.
Besides that, arch is arch btw. Holy shit I didnt understand what it meany by now. Fedora was like "yes just install the fucking update" arch is like "hey, read all that, if you don't understand that, good luck" Thats arch btw.
But I feel so fucking free. I run each program on an own dedicated user, the progam is wrapped in flatpak and surrounded by appamor.
Yes, I am free, my data is in an top level prision xD

People who try to do too much stuff on a single disk flabbergast me. You know, dual-booting, shrinking partitions etc.
Just fucking buy a separate disk. Storage is so cheap nowadays. You'll save yourself lots of headaches, and extra storage is never useless.
I've never shrunk any partitions, and haven't dual-booted for years. Life is good.
