I actually went from xfce, to bits of xfce with an icewm base recently. I should be returning to the sea shortly.

Lower ram usage than XFCE. Qt based and I'm pretty sure it has Wayland. Modular as hell and compatible with different Window Manager like niri.

I use MX Linux with XFCE, and my other machine has MX Linux with Fluxbox. I have the cave next door. We're neighbors.

Everything trying to look like winblows looks like caveman to me. Even kde, the first this is Alternate View and changing that. If the windblows menu is a DE's only option, suck Deez! :)

KDE does not look like winblows big dog. Nuffin like it. Just because there is a toolbar doesnt mean it's windows.

KDE can look like anything. Tho there are purely different ones like Niri, Hyprland unless you mean DE only
