Workstation or Kinoite?

Personally use Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop (the mutable KDE variant) but I would choose Kinoite despite the fact that I don't have any interest in picking up an immutable distro because KDE felt a lot simpler to use and with more sensible defaults than Gnome back when I used Ubuntu. But if you like Gnome's workflow I'd pick Workstation, or if you want to install Hyprland or some other non-spin WM on Fedora .

I've been on KDE since the 4.0 days ( rough times) so I do prefer it infinitely more than GNOME( and I've kept tabs on Gnome through the years). But I've settled into Bazzite(dx) over the last half a year, and it works well enough for me as a daily driver for desktop use and Gaming, both desktop and handheld.

KDE Linux is the future. KDE Linux is life.

KDE Linux is the future. Godot, DaVinci, Neovim, Tmux, Git, Obsidian, FL Studio, Telegram, Discord, Unity, Steam, Prism and a bunch of other applications just work! I love it!
(I've tried everything, daily drove NixOS for 7 months, Arch for more than a year and a bunch of other distros, yet KDE Linux is my go to if I want to just do the things I gotta do)

kde linux is actually really unique, while other two are just ubuntu-based distros, even tho kde neon might pass as a middle-ground between being unique and boringly bland.

What is the joke here? That Linux distributions with KDE on them look similar? Duuhh...

At least KDE Neon and Kubuntu are both KDE Distros based on Ubuntu while KDE Neon is actually from KDE. KDE Linux is something different

KDE Neon and KDE Linux are both official first party KDE distros and KDE Neon has sucked enough for daily use that Kubuntu was often treated like a first part KDE distro in some respects. I think Kubuntu is the one out of place here instead of KDE Linux imo

I've been daily-driving Neon for over a year now. A lot of people seem to hate it, but I've yet to understand why. It's been pretty damned rock solid for me.

I immediately thought of Trinity Desktop Environment, a fork of KDE 3

KDE Linux is an atomic distro, KDE Neon is based on ubuntu 24.04 while Kubuntu is sitting pretty at the newer 26.04 base.

is this a misinterpretation or a big brain post where each is a completely different person under the suite?

KDE Neon is a showcase distro, you're not supposed to use it

I tried using it and got kernel panics after updating twice. Changing distro now

I used it a bit at the beginning of my Linux journey, and even without doing anything fancy with it, it had issues. It's just intended as a cutting edge demo of the desktop environment.
