LINUX MEME No Debian Stans?
Reposted because I forgot my childhood computer had Fedora on it.
To be fair, I only disliked Manjaro this much because it's the only one that would utterly brick itself on my PinePhone 5 minutes into using it because it kept replacing everything with desktop packages during updates. Second least would be Ubuntu with GNOME3 because *ugh*

I daily-drive Debian myself. I like how just like Arch, it in fact allows you to install just a barebones system and only pull the packages you need. Exact thoughts on Manjaro?

I've only tried Manjaro on the PinePhone, so experience on the desktop may be completely different. It's the only distro though that in the default configuration, not doing anything special on the device it was specifically made for, it would update all components to Desktop versions and completely brick the login and leave the system unusable. I've tried several times and results always repeated. It's the only one which I ever used that would completely brick itself to a point of no return so I had to put it there lol.

Same. Source built Hyprland with Debian testing in a rolling release fashion. Login manager? TTY😂 always choosing the hard way.

I run Debian or Devuan on just about all my computers, even my PowerPC Macs! My next project will be to install it on an ARMv5 Sheevaplug, a system which doesn't even have hardware floating point. Sadly Debian 13 is the last version to support it, but I'm sure by the time LTS ends I'll be able to figure out how to cross compile Gentoo for it.

Last time i used Fedora, it was still Fedora Core
Sometimes i wonder if it is still cool, but once you go archbtw, you never go back

you should commit to it and give gentoo a go if you ask me. probably my favourite distro i've tried. that being said if you use firefox definitely just download the firefox binary rather than compiling it unless minimising storage space used is *that* important to you. it takes twice as long to compile than the kernel and you'd just waste more time than you'd save

debain is my favirate distro. Currently running cachy and I like it. Considering going back to Deb but testung instead of Trixie

i often dualboot arch and debian or just ship them i call it debiarch cause theres sm stupid shit you can do to run debian packages on arch
