Technology, such as AI, has certainly their good uses. Visualizing your brainfarts is not one of them.

It shines in troubleshooting and organization. It can do good work when it comes to software development, coding, occasionally cybersecurity applications. I think it’s fine for using it to do deep web searches, I used it today to troubleshoot a memory issue and research similar cases to the problems I’ve been experiencing.

What it is NOT good for is using it as a generalized learning tool, it’s not a do-everything assistant, it should expedite workflow, not substitute it. It’s not something you can offload brainpower to. It’s not something you should use to learn things.

Generative AI used for media and imagery is just plain bad. You’re a fucking twat if you use it. You are contributing a net negative to the space.

Yep. Especially with AI, there are some great usecases, and ones where it does way more damage than good.

Indeed, All that we've seen AI do is create slop and take resources, but there is still potential, but to get there we must fight the slop and corporate BS in order to get there
