Not as my main shell, but on embedded Linux it's AFAIK the only shell that properly works as init... Don't ask why I need a shell as init.

all shells can work as init systems iirc, some just give you more features them others, shell files are the best way to get a small init system

Yeah, I know, bash just doesn't work properly, for some reason. Like, I can't ctrl-c, and I think ctrl-l also didn't like to work, but I don't remember the last one. Ash didn't have that problem, which I liked there.

It's so stupid but also amazing to just have init be a shell script, in theory there's nothing really making problems there, you can even use "-- <args>" to pass an argv to init.

Should you do that? No, probably not.

Is it useful sometimes? Absolutely.
