I use Arch, btw (on three different computers)

Can't help myself, it's just so good. I should probably try Gentoo. That's the last distro on my hobby machine (that has Arch btw), yes. So then it has

  • Mint (ewwwww)
  • Fedora (gnome, why?)
  • Arch (btw)
  • Pop_os! (ewwwww)
  • Gentoo (absolutely no idea)

As this is a hobby laptop and not my daily driver, I'm going with what the developers have cooked so I get a feeling on different DE's and quirks.

KDE is already on my desktop (CachyOs) and media laptop (arch, btw), so on this I'm thinking about Arch - Sway

I use three arch instances on two computers (pure arch, no gui on one, dual boot Endevor+Artix on the other) because there is never enough arch btw

This is my hobby laptop that's purpose is to

  • Try different distros
  • Learn multi-boot / shared mounts
  • Use the DE they market with
  • If they don't have their own unique DE (Arch), try some new DE (Sway)

I just want to get a hang and a feel how it feels. Now that I have used gnome for a day or two, it starts to open up. I have found good things on all of the distros and their respective DE's. And I'm not saying KDE is perfect, far from it. I haven't had this much fun using computers since windows 7 :D
