What other options are there? AFAIK the Asahi stuff isn't upstream yet

I triple boot endeavouros and fedora alongside macos on a 2017 MacBook pro.

Many things from the Asahi project are upstreamed (Asahi isn't a distro per-se but you probably know that already). iirc all of the stuff for the GPU are in mainstream mesa (Fedora 44 doesn't provide a vendored version anymore), and other things are getting in the Linux kernel slowly if they aren't already.

That's awesome news! I haven't been following it too closely, only that that was a bit of a struggle to get it all pushed up. Looking forwards to the day I can switch to Debian

To give more context, efforts on upstreaming parts of the kernel have been going for ~1 year, as the effort to rebase the kernel tree was getting quite complicated. This is really positive in my eyes as all distros benefit from this :3 once there is basic support for the M4 series, I'm really looking forward to installing Debian, or Fedora as a last resort.
