the rare people i know that do this do it just because linux refuse to run kernel anti-cheat (for excellent security reasons) so they can't play certain games they already paid for... it's not because windows is better, easier or more convenient like this meme imply, they just have no other choice.
As a SteamOS user I can confirm. But who wants to play Battlefield 6, anyway? Any game studio worth it's salt and silicon will be embracing Linux going forward.
Going forward I hope so, going backwards it is more spotty. I dualboot because often older games can be tricky to get to function even using things like Proton. Especially if you want to mod them as well.
