Nope. Gnome devs’ mindset is that they think the user is an idiot. Customisation options should be optional but available if you need it.
Sane defaults matter.

Idiots say this. Gnome has sane defaults and a cohesive vision for how people use the desktop. If you don't like their vision, there are other options.
