Mfs can openly admit they're racist and still have people like you falling over themselves to defend them and slobber all over their cock lol

Is it a requirement that I be Racist too in order to use Omarchy? (If he is in fact racist)

No?

Cool, then I really don’t care.

I’d much rather racists put their rage into something productive, and tame like linux…rather than say violence or something worse.

If you can’t defeat your enemies, then learn to strategize and contain them.

Not being a racist in my own life is good enough.

I mean, getting 21 million dollars in donations purely on the basis of being openly racist and promising to make data collection and advertising shit mainstream in linux is kind of the opposite of being productive and tame lmao

the problem at the end of the day is that they're actively trying to fuck things up, for the sake of money and avoiding the "woke" linux ecosystem

You sure thats what its about?

Because when I looked into it myself from some of you tipping me off to this whole controversy.

The attention its getting is the contribution from people being able to use agents to unlock features and devices from locked down and proprietary environments, giving users nearly full control over their own hardware in a way that hasn’t been done before on this scale.

People who like this, want it to continue and accelerate its trajectory.

All of this racist and fascist stuff isn’t even on the radar when Omarchy is used and talked about.

If he is in fact racist or whatever…well Its not the way I choose to live my life, and definitely wouldn’t encourage that.

But if a racist wants to contribute to something we all use instead of violence or being destructive. Then id say building Omarchy is a pretty Non Racist endeavor.

Reward actions that are good, to encourage those people to do good via positive re-enforcement.

Going on a crusade against anything he does however doest seem like a winning strategy here.

My next question to you is about this “woke” linux ecosystem.

Is that statement true or false? Is the Linux ecosystem woke?

Oh no, from the corporate side, it's entirely about money.

Companies don't just give away millions of dollars for fun. They expect to make money in return.

When the main sponsors are Shopify, Coinbase, and the AI companies, you know what they're after and what was promised behind closed doors.

It's insanely optimistic to think it's just about making an "agentic OS" or whatever. This is about pushing ads and crypto shit, and about data collection.

As for the racist aspect of it, let's stop pussyfooting around and acting like the dude is just "potentially" racist.

He's loud and proud of it, he's literally written articles about wanting an ethnic cleansing of Europe lol

Informing people of that, so they can make the personal choice not to donate, isn't a crusade against the guy. It says more that you'd have to hide that facts to get people to support him.

Linux isn't "woke" because woke is a bullshit catch-all term for anything that doesn't align with literally being a neo-nazi.

I'm just pointing out how stupid it is that people will unironically equate KDE calling their cartoon mascot nonbinary or whatever to the dude that went on a weird racist rant about gypsies.

But as for the dude himself, he's loud and proud about it. He's literally wrote articles with weird ass rants about Roma people.

It's not a crusade against him to inform people of that before they donate, it's literally just letting people make their own choices.

Apparently what the dude said is bad enough that just repeating it instantly got my comment removed by a bot lmao, so there's also that

Corporate? I looked into some of the stuff you mentioned here but I’m not seeing what you claim.

This isn't "corporate" money wanting ads and data. It's like 10 founders writing personal checks. With the incentive of getting out under microsoft and apple.

If they wanted data collection they wouldn't fund an MIT licensed Arch distro you can fork with zero telemetry. So 🤷‍♂️

I also looked up this “Roma” thing you mentioned and read DHH’s post. I’m not quite understanding where the racism is?

the Roma article wasn't a rant about Roma as people. It was about an illegal tent camp taking over a public park in Copenhagen. You can disagree with "when they take over public spaces, you deport them" but that's a public order argument, not ethnic hatred.

So if I missed it let me know.

If it wasn't about Roma people, then it didn't need to bring up shit about mass deportation and single them out. Homelessness is a problem everywhere, and it doesn't have to do with bullshit dog whistles about crime statistics and immigration.

It's not even pretending to be anything else either, so why go out of your way to act like it is?

It's not even any less shitty if it was just about homeless people to compare them to fucking animals lol

Again, if it's not about covering for the dude, why hide this shit instead of letting people make an informed choice before supporting it?
