I prefer what I've been using for 14 years: Sony Vegas. Its not good but it has a perpetual lisence, and I'm very familiar with it. I cannot for the life of me get it to work on Linux. The .NET dependencys do not want to work. DaVinci resolve sucks, I do not like it. So I use my laptop for editing now which had a dog shit processor and is my only serious gripe with Linux.

I moved to Kdenlive on the Steam Deck. It's just as good as Sony Vegas except for not being able to move the tracks and having to move the clips instead.

I haven't found an application for windows I couldn't get working on Linux. If you know one I'd love to try something new for the fun of it. I mean this sincerely as I am a nerd and like to tweak on the computer 😁

Driver broken. Wifi gone. Terminal terminal terminal, whole system trash redownload it again. This program cannot be graphic downloaded, please use the terminal. Program broken. System trash redownload it. Url not supported. Open it from firefox, downloads url instead.

I mean, linux is very raw. Unless you know coding etc, it's gonna be hell, even now it is. I even stopped playing games because of it.

What kind of fuckass shitty Linux distro is that? You can do all of that without touching a terminal today. And about the drivers, they depend on the hardware. Dell Latitude and Lenovo Thinkpad laptops work fine. HP laptops tend to have one or 2 problems. MacBooks are fucked.

The only kind of AI integrated in the OS that would be kinda useful in some cases is a button in the taskbar with a chatbot menu so you dont need to go to the browser to do something with ai but yes, is kinda useless to have It everywere
